B737 General Familiarization
ATA Spec 104 Level II
Course Duration: 8 Hours

The B737 Brake Riding Procedures course is designed to train and evaluate Ground Operation Supervisors on Boeing 737 APU start and systems operating procedures required to qualify them to ride brakes.

Upon completion, the Trainee will be able to perform APU starts, operate electrical, hydraulic and radio systems, as needed to ride brakes during aircraft relocation moves.

Course Content:
  1. Ramp safety before towing aircraft and airport signage
  2. Fire warning test procedures
  3. APU start and operating procedures
  4. Electrical system operating procedures
  5. Hydraulic system operation, as required for brake riding operation
  6. Radio communication system operation to contact airport tower
  7. Procedures for use for application of brakes during aircraft relocation
  8. Study, review, and be completely familiar with the SA-M 647 Brake Riding Checklist.
